Two EXTREMELY simple Christmas treats: Candy Cane Pretzel Kisses and Chocolate Covered Peanut Clusters

Thursday, December 20, 2012

These two Christmas candies are two of our favorites and the easiest and quickest of all to make.

Both of these recipes have only TWO ingredients each…could it get any simpler??

Candy Cane Pretzel Kisses

(Ingredients — square “waffle” pretzels, Peppermint flavored Hershey’s kisses)

Chocolate Covered Peanut Clusters — my own recipe 🙂

(Ingredients — cocktail peanuts, milk chocolate flavored chocolate chips)

To make —  Place 1/2 a bag of the chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl, melt for one minute and then in 15 second increments until melted.  Dump in about a cup of peanuts, mix and drop on to wax paper covered sheets.  Cool, either in fridge or on three season porch!

**Usually I buy three containers of the cocktail peanuts and about 4 bags of the chocolate chips…this makes about 60+ clusters!!!

(unfortunately I never took a pic of these, but here is a generic pic from the web of what my clusters look like!)

Kimm and I both LOVE each of these candies…if you’ve never made any Christmas candy and want to try your hand at it, both of these recipes are easy and tasty.
