Belated Fourth

Thursday, July 5, 2012

We had our Fourth of July celebration (which mostly consisted of just a good meal) today instead of yesterday since I wouldn’t be so darn tired (since I basically slept all day on the actual Fourth of July!)

Today, during the morning, I prepped for our evening meal…made potato salad (1st time ever!) and brownies.

Then during the afternoon we went out to get our flowers for the front porch.

It was another hot one and walking through the greenhouses was like walking in a sauna 🙂

There wasn’t a lot calling out to us, but we finally found some that we really liked and we high-tailed it out of there…only spent $36…MUCH less than what we spent last year.

It was a relief coming back into the AC 🙂

I’m going to plant those flowers tomorrow while Kimm meets with some clients.  Before and after pics then.

And then we finally sat down to our yummy meal…it tasted so good.

Veggie burgers with fried onions and tomato slices, baked vegetarian beans (for me…Kimm doesn’t like…strange one), potato salad (which turned out surprisingly very good), corn off the cob (hate getting corn caught in our teeth…less messy!) and a brownie for dessert!

All while relaxing and watching Gilmore Girls.

Gave the garden and the flowers a drink after dinner…they were thirsty.

And then relaxed for the rest of the night.

Hope everyone had a fun Fourth!!
