Blooms

Sunday, June 10, 2012

Oh, how the blog posts have piled up!  I’m behind and really once you get behind, it’s tough to catch up…but I’m going to do my best.  The hardest part will be trying to remember what happened what day!  (sign = you are getting old)

Thankfully I’ll start with the most recent first.

So yesterday I FINALLY did something I’ve been meaning to do for a LONG time.

I planted some flowers by the mailbox out front.

I’m HOPING that these don’t attract too many bees!

I had a vision (purple and yellow)…and I think it came out pretty good!

I choose simple and hardy flowers so here’s hoping that they bloom all summer long 🙂

It was a fulfilling night!  After planting these, I took Izzy for a walk (she hasn’t been on one in a long time…bad mommies…) and she was SO happy.  I checked out all the flowers in the neighborhood and I have to say I think ours look the best 🙂  I could be slightly biased!

When I got back Kimm was finishing up mowing the lawn so then we attacked some weeds by the side of the house.  It was dark when we finally finished.

Long, hot showers felt so good.  After popping some Tylenol and Ibuprofen, we settled on the couch with popcorn, adult drinks, and some laughs (popped in Music and Lyrics…LOVE that movie…favorite line from that movie…”GARY…I’m going out!!”  — if you’ve seen the movie, you will laugh just reading that!)

Sad note…last time making popcorn on our stove!

It’s going to be so weird seeing different appliances in the kitchen…but I can’t wait!

Hope everyone is enjoying the end of the weekend!
