Sarah’s Key

First night off 🙂

When I woke up I found out that Kimm is sick 😦  I think that this is a direct result of our visit with our friend the other day since her daughter had been sick for a little bit.  This is really the first that she’s been sick this winter so I guess that’s a positive thing.  Now I’m just hoping that I don’t get sick too.

Well, it was a perfect night for soup and that’s exactly what was on the menu.  A perfect comfort meal.

The rest of the evening was spent on the computer and watching a movie.  I finally caved in and bought another copy of Davis’ Drug Guide for my iPhone.  I’ve missed it so much (the one I had on my prior phone had expired, and would still work on that device, just no new updates, but would not transfer to a new device).  This time I bought the app through Skyscape and there was no mention of it being non-transferable between devices.  I don’t plan on getting a new phone for QUITE a while now so hopefully it won’t be a problem. I used this opportunity to buy the app for two reasons…one, I considered it a reward for reaching my 2.5% weight loss goal, and two…I had a 20% off coupon code via email to use by Feb 15th.  I’m going to be so happy to be able to look up drug compatibilities again 🙂  Maybe I am just super-specific, but I really have only liked the Davis’ Drug Guide format on the iPhone.

As far as the movie…it was FANTASTIC and I highly recommend it.

Sarah’s Key (based on the book that I want to read but have not yet and now most certainly will and quickly!)

Captivating story line (the roundup of Jews in Paris in 1942), excellent acting (I can’t believe the star was so young!), and beautiful cinematography.

Kimm and I both agreed it was one of the best movies we’ve seen and we weren’t even bothered by the subtitles.  I still find it hard to believe that something of this horrendous nature was done less than 100 years ago.  It’s crazy what prejudice and hate can accomplish.

I have the book at home and it’s due in 5 days!  I’d better get going.
