So I know my mom is going to be like, what does WIAW stand for 🙂

I’ve been reading blogs for a long time now and I’ve noticed that several of the healthy living blogs participate in “What I Ate Wednesdays” which was created by the blogger behind Peas and Crayons and can be completely explained better than I ever could here!

So here is my FIRST ever WIAW…

Breakfast

Kaluha coffee with 3 Tbsp Southern Buttered Pecan creamer

Whole wheat English muffin with a smear of Country Crock on both halves, topped with approx 1 Tbsp all-natural peanut butter on one half and approx 1/2 Tbsp Polaner All-Fruit Blueberry jam on the other half

LOVE this breakfast…eat it every day!

Lunch

String cheese

5 Toasted Onion crackers with approx 2 Tbsp Roasted Red Pepper hummus

1/2 a large orange

1/4 cup granola with a splash (maybe 1 Tbsp) whole milk

A mish-mash of eats eaten after the gym…even though it may sound weird, every part was SO good.  

Dinner

Vegetarian Shepard’s Pie–1 Griller’s original veggie burger on the George Forman, grilled until done, then cut up, covered with approx 1 Tbsp fried onions, 1/2 cup cooked corn, and one potato mashed with a bit of milk, sour cream, butter, salt and pepper–then mixed all together and dunked in ketchup…THE number one condiment!

Fresh pineapple–about 1/4 cup

A mini Kit Kat

SUCH a good dinner…comfort food at its best and there is nothing like the taste of fresh pineapple and you can NEVER go wrong with chocolate

Snack

(not eaten yet!)

(but I’m pretty sure it will be…)

String cheese

Red Delicious apple with 1 Tbsp all-natural peanut butter

28 almonds

This snack has everything–staying power from the cheese and peanut butter, sweetness from the apple and peanut butter, salt from the almonds.  Can’t wait to eat it!

Next time I will try to include pictures!  Baby steps.

All I have to say is, where did today go??

It’s almost 9:30 and we are about to watch a movie, but I feel like it’s been non-stop.

Up at 8:30, breakfast and blogs, gym by 11:45, shower, lunch, walk with Izzy, Target, making dinner, eating dinner, doing dishes, putting away stuff from Target, reading email/planning stuff on calendar/reading blogs, writing this blog…agh!  I want more time in the day!

And shall I even mention that evil place Target???

It pulled us in again and we couldn’t resist–lots of good things–containers to hold our hats/mittens by the side door, wooden hangers (we are going to switch over…finally! and are buying a pack of five for each of us each month), a new hand towel for the kitchen, K-cups (can we say Butter Toffee!!!!), organizing containers, gloves (1/2 off–$1 for 2 pair!!), and OF COURSE all the dull cleaning products/hygiene needs.   Next month we will need to be stronger!
