Expensive Doggie

Izzy went to the vet.

And we returned $290 poorer!

But she’s totally worth it.

The bill was not just for her visit but also for her heart worm med, Frontline med, and getting her nails trimmed.

Yep, you heard that right, the vet tech (super friendly and great with animals) was able to trim Izzy’s nails.  However it was not an easy task–Izzy had to have the muzzle on and she STILL whined the whole way through it…we heard she also peed and pooped.  I guess she really didn’t like it.  Thankfully after it was done, it was like it never happened…she was wagging her tail like crazy 🙂

The other good news…she lost 9 pounds over the last year.  Now she weighs 69 pounds.  Our goal for her is to lose about 5 more pounds in the next year.  I guess that means undercutting her food scoops just a bit.

Don’t worry Izzy…we’re all on a mission to lose weight and get healthier…you are not singled out!
