Teacher, Doctor

Our new intensivist seems so great.

First of all, he is here after 7 pm.  That is huge…really nice to be able to touch base on the patients before he goes home.

Second, he wants to teach–he actually sat down last night and did an impromptu teaching session on the Flo-Trac (a new device we are utilizing for non-invasive hemodynamic monitoring).  It made a technically difficult piece of equipment less “scary.”

I LOVE that he did that.  It felt like he really cared about the nurses and wanted everyone to be on the same page.

I made it through my shift even though I was incredibly tired…thank you No-Doze 🙂

Bed here I come!
