It’s the little things…

These past few days have FLOWN by.

Usually I don’t like to let myself get too far behind on blogs because I have such a TERRIBLE memory.

But my three days are up and I haven’t written a SINGLE blog.

Here’s to catching up!

So…Tuesday night was my first night off.  So in typical fashion, I slept all day in the A.C. (which was a good thing as we are going through a heat wave with temps in the 90s with horrendous humidity…for an old house like ours, that means our house hardly cools off at’s like living in a sauna).  After eating dinner, we decided to escape the heat and head out to our favorite store…Target 🙂

Another trip where we spent close to $200.  I think that we have to seriously consider getting a Target card (I guess you save 5% each time you use it??).  We got the usual–personal hygiene stuff, veggie burgers/fake chicken patties, AND…NEW KITCHEN TOWELS and OVEN MITTS.  This has been a long time coming.  We’ve been using the same towels and oven mitts since we’ve moved into the house (which is around 2 and 1/2 years and then we were using them back in our old apartment).  So needless to say, we were as excited as kids getting out of school early over something so simple.

Of course I am a wicked bad blogger and have no pictures.  But this is where you can use your imagination 🙂  Our kitchen is sunflower yellow so we wanted something bright and colorful.  We got teal and orange for the colors of the towels and oven mitts–goes perfectly with our two pictures of yellow flowers with teal background.  Adds a perfect splash of color.  And then we got two dish drying towels–wicked cute–tomatoes 🙂 (colors are red, orange, yellow, and lime green on a white background).

We LOVE the new looks…it really makes a huge difference, at least to us.  It just reminds me again that it really is the little things in life that can make you smile so much 🙂

And so that was Tuesday.  First day off done.
