Oh, the months just fly by, don’t they?
I can’t believe that it is already going to be October.
Let’s just say that today went by in a blast–it all started with getting up early to go to that ED computer training. I don’t know HOW people get up that early! My eyes were burning and my stomach was in a knot. Not to mention I was starving but felt like if I ate, I would hurl! And even when I did eventually eat, I was hungry not a half hour later. Crazy.
The weather was something else today as well–pouring rain, super windy.
I got to catch up with a nap 🙂 But I’m still tired.
Now on for my exciting news…well, it’s not THAT exciting…just to me!
Starting in October, I’m going to take each month and focus on goals that will help me try to be happier! I was inspired by the book The Happiness Project.
So for October, my goals will be: to make myself healthier so that I will have the energy to be happier. There’s nothing worse than being dead tired and trying to be happy (hello, today!). So I have a few goals…it will be a month-long project, so I’m not expecting perfection, just progress.
**HYDRATE–drink 8 oz of water for every hour I am up (this is going to be a tough one as I don’t really care for water that much!)
**REST–get at least 8 hours of sleep per night (minimum!!–I’d love to be able to get 9 hours if possible)–and I’d like to try to get to bed earlier so I can get up a bit earlier
**MOVE–I would love to get to the gym four days a week, at least for weight training, even if for nothing more–I need to build up my lean muscle mass so that my metabolism starts revving!
**EAT–I want to focus on whole, minimally processed foods, and especially cut down on sugar and carbs…concentrate on fresh veggies, whole grains, and nuts and their butters
I can’t wait for this month.
