Plants…

We got some plants for the porch today 🙂

I think it looks a lot more home-y now!

I can’t remember all the stuff we got, but I know we at least got a fern, a coleus, an ivy and several succulents.

Here we have a purple/green coleus with ivy draping down in front…

Here is the red/green coleus in the green pot…LOVE

Desert plants…

Another succulent

Fern to the left…and purple plant with light green plant on the right…don’t you love my botany terms 🙂

They really add to the atmosphere.

Now all we have to do is paint the floor, the walls, and put up the lights along the top.  I can’t wait until it is all done 🙂

But it’s still very relaxing out here.  Especially now at night when all the candles are lit.

Peaceful…

Hmmmm….what else did I do today?  It seemed like a very productive day.  But now it’s hard to recall.

Well, I slept in until 10:30 am.  That was delightful.

I did plant the herbs in pots–basil, oregano, parsley, spearmint, dill, cilantro, and chives.  They are sitting by the front steps, hopefully a sunny spot for the majority of the day.

Made the night meal–ramen noodle veggie stir fry.

That’s it.

We played Scrabble tonight.  I lost as usual.  Frank won both games.  Kimm was a close second.  That game always makes me feel like a loser.  Oh well.  At least I had a few glasses of wine to dampen the loss.

Now it’s time for bed since we are having an estimate done tomorrow at 8:30 am for putting a ceiling fan on the porch and the heated fan in the office, so we have to get up at 7 to take Izzy for her walk.

By the way, the weather is GREAT–breezy and in the 70s…and it gets cold at night!  I have my slippers on now 🙂
