Tulips!

I forgot to say it at the beginning of the month, but CAN YOU BELIEVE IT IS ALREADY April!?!

The months just keep flying by.

Today was another absolutely beautiful day.  We took the opportunity to drive out to Randall’s Farm in Ludlow, hoping that they would have their plants out (potted herbs, tomatoes, flowers, etc).  Turns out they didn’t have much out–too early I guess.  But we did pick up all of our seeds for planting!  I’m so excited.  We got beans, peas, zucchini, yellow squash, spinach, lettuce, carrots, radishes, scallions, basil, cilantro, dill, chives, and probably more that I can’t remember at this moment.  Cost a little over $30.  Can’t wait to plant.  Will hold off on the garden until May, but I’m going to plant the herbs in pots this week.

There was an ice cream stand outside Randall’s and we decided to partake.  Kimm had Cookies and Cream and I had Black Jack Cherry (cherry ice cream with cherry halves).  It was homemade ice cream.  I was expecting WOW…but I have to say it was just so-so.  Maybe it would have been better if I had a different flavor??

We had to stop at the store for some cat food and we decided to make tacos for dinner.  We both didn’t know what to have…ever have that where nothing is really calling out to you?  Well, Kimm finally mentioned tacos and I was like, “I was thinking of tacos too!”  Scary how much we think alike sometimes.

Anyways, when we came home, Kimm went out to get the mail.  While she was out there she said she heard someone calling her name.  Turns out it was our next door neighbor.  He was calling her over because he wanted to give us a container of red tulips for Easter.  Isn’t that sweet?  I love tulips.

Currently they are sitting on the counter and we are hoping that the cats ignore them 🙂  They always seem to want to chew on plants/flowers.

Hard to believe that tomorrow is Easter.  Heading over to Kimm’s parents for an early dinner because I have to go to work.

Good news…we are expected to have nice weather this whole week!

p.s.  I forgot to add that today while we were out driving I had incredibly BAD luck with the lights.  There were three times when the light was turning yellow right before I got to it–I kept saying, “oh, shit” and then pushing down on the accelerator and hoping to make it through in time.  All I have to say is good thing there were no cops out…I’m pretty sure I hit the red light every time.   Argh.
