Bear with me people!

Thursday, March 18, 2010

I know these posts are not very exciting lately.  PLEASE bear with me.   This training is really taking a toll on me 😦

What I have learned this week:

#1 (and most important!)–I AM NOT A MORNING PERSON.  I may want to be a morning person, but I just can’t hack dragging my body out of bed before the crack of dawn, having an upset stomach, and my eyes burning until I get to work.  I function MUCH better when I go to work at 7 pm.

#2–I know a lot more than I did when I was in nursing school.  All this cardiac stuff is FINALLY making sense.  And I’m loving that.

#3–Having a peanut butter and jelly sandwich every day for lunch is EXTREMELY boring!  I like it much better when I can make my lunch at home for some variety.  But there’s nothing like the ease of a pb & j when you’re making your lunch at the last minute.

That’s it.  I can’t think of anything anymore.  My brain is mush.  And I still have one more day left this week.

Oh yeah, in case you are interested….today I learned about MIs (myocardial infarctions, aka “heart attacks”).  Here is a quick fact for you…did you know that if you are having true chest pain, due to loss of cardiac blood supply (known as angina), you already have 75% occlusion to that artery!  Yikes.  Pretty scary stuff.

Have a great Thursday night all.
