WI: Day One

Friday, January 15, 2010

Well, I made it!  I took a later flight this time, which was so nice.  Not getting up at 5 in the morning  is okay with me!  Of course I still felt tired because I had so much to do before coming.  But at least I could sleep in until 7:45!

I traveled on US Airways.  I really liked them.  The planes were spacious and clean and the staff was really courteous.

I landed in Milwaukee a little before 3pm.  We drove and picked up my nephew Eric and then headed straight to dinner.  We had Culver’s.  I ordered a grilled cheese, some onion rings, a side of green beans, and the best part–my mom and I shared a turtle sundae 🙂

After that we came home and we were busy the rest of the night playing games.  My nephew is a bundle of energy and we played Scrabble Slam, Farkle, Bingo, Chutes and Ladders, and Trouble.  I can’t believe how much older he is and how different he interacts.  The last time I saw him he was only 6 and now he is 8.  He’s got a complete personality!  I have a feeling I’m going to be busy for the next two days 🙂

Tomorrow the plan is to meet up with my Grandma in Green Bay for lunch.  So I’m off to bed to try to catch up on my rest.  Eric warned me that he’s going to wake me up early.  And the worst part is that my dad only has decaf coffee!  So I think a coffee run is probably going to have to happen tomorrow as well.
