Being Neighborly…

Wednesday, October 28, 2009

Today we actually got out and did something again.  We visited a co-worker of mine from work who also lives in Agawam.  Her and her wife have two kids–SO CUTE.  A handful though!  But it made me imagine what it might be like when we have kids 🙂  It was really nice to just sit and talk with someone and be neighborly for part of the day.

Other than that it was a pretty uneventful day.  I had a difficult time sleeping last night and was up by 6:30.  Sat and read on the couch for a few hours and then was on the computer until Kimm got up.  So of course that made me tired tonight and I took a 3 hour nap while Kimm watched her hockey game.

It RAINED all day long.  We have a mini lake going on in our driveway.  Izzy just went for a morning walk–that was quite a sight–the two of us and her with our umbrellas.  The coffee tasted extra good today because it was so blah outside.

Made black bean quesadillas and brown rice for dinner–holy yum.  And made up another batch of apple crisp which I am about to enjoy after I finish writing this post!

Here’s the loot from yesterday…

Sneakers…love the bit of orange

Slippers–super soft

Boots–waterproof and furry inside!

My key lime vest…wore it on the walk today–SUPER warm and cozy

Kimm’s navy vest (with my polka dot umbrella peaking out from behind)…

That pumpkin spice latte…DEFINITELY have to get another one before the season is over.

I predict that I will have to use my nasal spray before going to bed since I am completely stuffed up.  I am STILL fighting off this cold.  Sigh…

Tomorrow is dog training class…we’re both excited and hopeful that this will work.
