Okay, Kaye?

Friday, March 27, 2009

I can’t believe that I MISSED my one year blog anniversary!  Just so everyone knows, it was March 20th.

As a tribute to one year of blogging, I figured I would explain about the “Okay, Kaye?” blog title.

I found the following on Urban Dictionary, and believe me, before I even read their definition, I had been experiencing this for MANY years 🙂

So what is the definition for “okay, kaye”…

“the most annoying phrase if your name is Kay(e)–[of course they spelled it Kay!]–and the person using it thinks they are the first person to use it and think they are hell witty”

Person: So do you want to go out tonight?

Kay(e): okay

Person: okay–{lightbulb goes on over their head}…

Person: okay Kay(e)

Person:  hahahaaahaaa

Kay(e): ROLLS EYES and if they like the person, pretend this is also the first time they have heard this! and laugh even louder

Anyways, I thought that was pretty funny.  I STILL have people doing that with my name.

So today went by so fast!  Came home from work–which by the way was a TON better than the night before.  Slept for about 5 hours and then got up because Kimm and I went to the Home Show.  Too tired to post about that tonight but will post tomorrow.  Ordered pizza for dinner (really delicious veggie) and watched a few episodes of Boston Legal.  Now we are just about ready for bed.  Can’t wait to be able to sleep in tomorrow morning, then have coffee and do some yard work–it’s supposed to be in the upper 60s tomorrow!!
