Today I did not get much sleep, which accounts for my heavy eyelids!  As busy as my night was on Saturday, was as slow as my night was on Sunday–we often joke about this at work, that it is either super busy, or incredibly slow–never a happy medium.  But I was okay with a slower night after being so hectic on Saturday.  I treated myself AGAIN to some Dunkin’ Donuts coffee and a Boston Creme donut…mmm.

Slept for about 4 hours, until Kimm came home for lunch.  She was FROZEN because there was no heat on at work today–it was about 42 degrees INSIDE her work place.  The person who turns on the heat “forgot” to turn it on.

After she left, then I slept (or at least tried to sleep–DID NOT WORK) for another hour.  I was meeting some co-workers at a pizza joint in Northampton for a “Severance Supper” for one of the LPNs who was ‘let go’ (meaning she didn’t want to take the CNA position they offered her when they basically fired all of the LPNs).   Even though it was a sad occasion, we had a lot of fun.  Good company and good food.  The pizza place was called Roberto’s (I never knew it existed!).  They ordered a bunch of different pizzas to share–but of course I only ate two small slices of veggie.  For dessert there was a cake from La Fiorentina’s pastry shop–oh so good–cake with fruit (strawberries and peaches) between the layers.  I have to say I really enjoy the people that I work with.

I brought home a veggie pizza (very good–mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, spinach, chives–all fresh!) for Kimm and I to share for dinner.  And now we are both so exhausted.  She is currently sleeping on the couch with Madeline next to her.  And I’m sure once I finish writing, my eyes MAY close as well 🙂

I’m really looking forward to my day off tomorrow.
