NON-STOP

That’s what it was from the moment I got to work last night, till the moment I left.  I was BUSY.  I actually got transferred down to the IMC (Intermediate Care Unit) for the first 4 hours of my shift–first time ever!–and then back up to the med-surg floor for the last 8 hours of my shift.  So basically like working two different shifts–I had two different groups of patients, whom I had to assess, medicate, and write notes on.  I was so glad to leave this morning!  But I think that it was better than the alternative, which is being too slow–especially since I was a bit tired.  Tonight I think I’ll be just in one place so it should be a bit easier.  I rewarded myself this morning by stopping at Dunkin’ Donuts and getting a small coffee and a chocolate frosted donut!  It was yummy!

p.s.  the cookies that I made yesterday were okay, definitely not up to par with the original oatmeal recipe that I made before from the Quaker Oatmeal box…maybe if I would have added raisins they might have been a little better–the apple taste really came through but they seemed a bit dry to me, not as chewy as I prefer…
